For the most part, just don't worry about them - Android isn't Windows and doesn't need the same sort of file management.

step away from the task killers

Nine times out of ten you will find that ujsing a task killer is counter productive as it is closing apps that the system keeps restarting - that just slows the system down. you may as well leave the background apps running and using no resources.

The best way to get rid of these apps is to uninstall them - if they are system apps like Timescape, Mediascape and other bloatware then the only way you can get rid of them is to root your phone which i don't recommend if you don't know what you are doing Slightly_smiling_Face

As ak3dgfx says if you have 2.1 it self manages, using app killers and some virus scanners will use up your battery as they run constantly

Just let it manage itself, it will kill running apps after the screen goes off but it will restart them when you activate the screen.

There are those that need to run all the time, like your SMS etc otherwise you wont get messages unless your phone is active.

in advanced task killer there is available memory.....an mine is 80 m,100 m.....what is that available memory?

it's the ammount of free RAM, a figure you have no need to worry about or try and interfere with.

Android manages it's memory much differently to windows and uses the RAM to it's full effect keeping programs in a sort of standby so that they open quickly when you want them. If it needs more memory, it will close some of the dormant apps. Messing around with task killers to clear RAM doesn't help so don't try.:smileyhappy:

What is worth lopoking at if your software allows you to is the processor power each app is using. If one app you are no longer using is consuming a lot of power then that will slow your phone down and using a task killer to stop that app is sensible.
