Application are not working Properly?

when I an using the application like inbulit facebook.,gmail and gtalk the gprs is not working properly. But when i am using all this through the sony errison and keeping my gprs on then it is working fine. Can any one please tell me what might be the problem .

What I mean exactly is when I am trying to access the Inbuilt application of face book,GTalk,Gmail. through wifi at that time the applications are working fine. But when I am trying to use the same application through GPRS setting then it is not opening only . In GPRS is active then when can see the "E" arrow both the ways. But when i have activated the GPRS, then i click on the Facebook or other apps which i mentioned above at that time the are not opening. I have tried may time to set the access point settings  then also it is of no use . Please help me .Thank You

go to settings -> wireless & networks -> mobile networks -> network mode and maybe try GSM/WCDMA

Thank You but I have tried this also which is of no use . Please suggest me a right way . I have doene the Factory Reset but then also it is of no use.

how about repairing your firmware using PCcompanion or Update Service
