About SMS

Hi. I'm a new user of X10 Mini. Want to ask if there is any SMS counter, where it can count how many outgoing SMS we have send out? And also, is there any outgoing call timer? In those older version of Sony HPs, these functions are there. But this new X10 mini I can't find. Can anyone tell me if those functions are available?

If you have access to the Android Market have a search on Data Counter / SMS Counter  there are lots of apps... DroidStats is one that I have seen recommended, Traffic Counter Extennded is another that looks quite nice and has 5 stars.  If they are free you could give them a try and see if you like them, if you don't just uninstall them.

Thank you for the information. Want to verify if my phone must have the data plan then can install the software is it? Can I install via my laptop to my handphone?

You can download apps whilst on a wireless network/wifi for no cost in terms of data.  Other than that you will be using 3g for which you will be charged if it isn't part of your monthly package.

Thank you Suze for the information. I'm trying real hard to download from Wifi. But my X10 mini seems like no reaction even I press "install" from the web page. Can't find any of the application or software at anywhere in my phone. I'm sure I missed out some steps or some steps I do wrongly. Can you guide me a step by step way?

I might sound stupid, but did you search those apps in the Android Market?

Yes gwhispererz, I did. I went to the 'Market' on my hp menu. Then it leaded me to Google Account login. I've specially created a gmail account and tried to logged in there using the account too. But the connection is not successful as well. That's why I'm 'scatching my head' on which step is wrong or if I Must have the data plan then can go in or any step I've missed in between. I even tried the QR code scanner method. Not successful too. So will be very very glad if anyone can guide me the correct way.

Ok, I have the same experience too when I created my gmail account with phone. Just to confirm, go to PC/Laptop and login to your gmail account (I believe the creation using your phone should be successful).

Restart phone and access Market again.

Thank you gwhispererz for the guide. My problem now is "can't establish a reliable data connection to the server". The reason for this error message is it because that I don't have any data plan? My Hp function only can do normal call, sms and WiFi, bluetooth...hmm... If I need data plan then I may not be able to access 'Market' then
