XA2 Display keeps dimming randomly after Android pie update

Since the last update (Android 9)my XA2 display keeps randomly putting the display settings to the lowest setting even though I've turned of the auto setting! I'm constantly shutting off the auto screen settings! AAnyone else got this problem?

Mine goes to minimum level everytime, it does eventually correct itself, but takes ages!

Me too! Dims randomly and if I keep using it the display brightens again.

Think I sorted my issue by switching off adaptive brightness in settings!

Is adaptive bright ess set to off?
