Phone not charging properly when plugged in

My phone (less than 12 months old) does not charge properly when it is plugged in - the light comes on but does not stay on.  I have tried different cables but it doesn't seem to make any difference.    Please help!

I have the same proble. Bought from carphone warehouse and they claim water damage  , has been no where near water. Got the phone in April by August wouldn't charge so went to the store they said it was the charger, and to buy a new one. Safe to say 5 chargers later i went back to store unhappy they send it of and claim it to have got wet. I spoke to sony who have advised to send it to them. But am unable to
