Moving files to my SD card

How do I transfer regular files to my SD card? (EX: Music, Photos, and Movies) I've been looking to free up some of my space on my phone and this is what I've been getting told "Settings > Storage > Transfer data to SD card." but transfer data to SD card isn't there. I only have 1.55 GB free space left on my phone and my last SD card was corrupt so I bought a new one, and it's doing nothing for me so far and I'd like to know I didn't just waste my money.

You can always plug your phone into your computer and transfer between the two storage areas that way. Alternatively, maybe files app on your phone might allow you to manually transfer? Computer is the easiest...

alternatively, Settings -> Storage -> files -> 3 dots -> select all -> move to... might work
