Morning Alarms

Please i want to ask something.  I'm setting the alarm every night for the morning but if my phone is turned off, the morninh it doesn't sounds at all!! Why is it doing this?? Any suggestions??

Do I understand correctly that you are setting an alarm and then you turn the device off? The device will need to be turned on for the alarm to work, as it will not ring if the device is turned off.

Yeah!! That's exactly what i mean.. Why that's happening?? I mean at all other phones this doesn't happen!!!! You can easyly close your phone so  you can save your battery for some longer instead your phone to stay on standby mode by waiting for the morning alarm..

This is not supported in any Xperia device, so if you want to use your device as an alarm clock, it needs to be powered on, otherwise the alarm will not ring.

If you are worried about the battery consumption, you can put the device in flight mode (Settings > Network & Internet > Airplane mode) before going to bed, but normally a device that is idle during the night does not consume that much battery.
