I've been using WH-CH500 for half a year already but 2 days ago the microphone of the headset stopped working for no apparent reason. I hope someone will offer a solution...

I was able to troubleshoot the problem myself. It appears that either the Bluetooth usb adapter was faulty or Windows couldn't find the proper drivers for it. I bought a new Trust adapter, which let Windows install the needed drivers for the headphones and the microphone.
My faith in Sony is restored.

I talked to the support and tested the device on another PC. The microphone worked so the problem isn't in the device itself. It is in my Windows 10. As you can see on the screenshot I previously added, the highlighted device has a red instead of green icon on my Windows. On my other PC (the one on which the microphone worked), it had a green icon. I believe I narrowed down the problem but I still need help to resolve it. When I try to connect the Headset Microphone, it doesn't work...

Sorry but did you simply try to re-pair the device? I had no doubt that the problem was in the system and not in the device.

I've done it countless times - removing the device and adding it again.

While connected, try uninstalling Bluetooth devices from Device management.

I did it. I uninstalled all of the bluetooth devices you see on the screenshot and it didn't work. The microphone icon still remains red and I can't connect the microphone...
