Hi there, thanks for reading. I am a newbie to the site. Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong place and/or its an obvious question!! I have a NWZ-S618F walkman, and the battery finally is about dead after years of faithful service. I gather that the re-chargeable battery can be replaced (anyone know how much this costs?), but I want to upgrade to a 16GB model anyway.
I love the look of the NWZ-A845B model. However I am cautious as the last time I tried to buy a new Sony model walkman, I had to take it back as it was so slow and took about 5 minutes to load a song and start playing. It also kept freezing. Not the usual standard Sony products achieve and so I think probably I was just unlucky.
The reason I love my old walkman is that it is so fast. I use it at work and I can pause a song to take a phonecall and then instantly start playing again when I finish the call - no waiting for it to load the song.
If I am going to fork out for the NWZ-A845B, then I would want to be assured that the speed of loading was equal or better. I gather that speed is better for devices with a flash drive - does the NWZ-845B have a flash drive or a hard drive? I searched in vain but cant find this info on the Sony site.
I would love to hear from anyone who can help, particularly people who have used the device!!
Many thanks!
Hi hayleyh5
Sorry to read you have had difficulties with your Walkman.
in order to get a replacement battery please contact NEDIS, they offer all spares for Sony products, call 0871 222 6655.
The New NWZ-A845B should be of equal speed in operation as the NWZ-S618F and it does have Flash memory also, the new Walkman will offer far better response and even better audio then your previous model.
I hope this is of assistance
