Itunes

I've still got my Itunes music library from when i used to have an ipod classic 160GB.Great bit of kit but i lost it abroad.Hence that's why i bought the walkman NWZ-A15.

I had Media Go as my default library and when that really got slow i changed over to the music centre which is even worse!

My question is can i move over tracks from the Music Centre library to the itunes library and will i also be able to transfer tracks from the itunes library onto the Walkman?

I'll reply to my own question as no one else has bothered!

After converting a few songs from FLAC(Itunes doesn't support FLAC) to WAV and dragging them over to the Itunes library i then found out that Itunes doesn't recognise the Sony Walkman.

So it's back to persevering with music centre🤐

Hi @muffinman11

"I'll reply to my own question as no one else has bothered"

Don't take it personally, nobody here works for Sony, we're all just volunteers / Sony fans.

Are you using a Mac?

Have you tried using the Content Transfer for Mac software?

If not, have a look Here

I think you may also have a copy of the windows version on your Walkman in the Storage

Media folder.

@jumpsuit First of all i would like to apologize for my rash comment.

Yes i have been using MC to transfer my music to my Walkman but i find MC very "clunky" so i thought i would give itunes a try.Trouble is itunes won't recognise the player as it isn't an Apple product.so there is nothing i can do about that.

Regarding "contents transfer" that has never appeared when i plug my Walkman into my pc?(Windows 10,not a mac!)

Hi @muffinman11

No apology necessary, technical problems can be frustrating 😉

Rash comments are also a speciality of mine 😁

Yeah iTunes doesn't like Walkmans. It's because music bought from iTunes is

protected by Apple's DRM and can't play on non-Apple players.

If you have any non DRM music you can transfer that easily, have a look Here

but that probably won't help you in this case.

Contents transfer won't appear on its own when you connect the Walkman.

Have a look Here  for how to install it.

Let me know if that helps
