CMT-X7CDB not connecting to a network

Hi I've just purchased a CMT-X7CDB but I cannot get it to connect to a network - through my PC or via the song pal app. The network light doesn't come on at all unless connected to PC and then it shows white rather than orange or green. When I use the song pal app I'm never promoted to put in my wifi details. Any ideas folks? :thinking:

following the instructions of the guide (wps button) i can connect pc.

from pc i can see the CMT-X7CDB unit in the network root.

but...what can i do now?

i d like to play music on CMT-X7CDB from my pc (i mean playing mp3 located on my pc) but how can i do it?

any ideas?

Hi

 

I had exactly the same problem as you with the CMT-X7CDB.

 

I was told to upgrade the firmware from the Sony website, but the firmware on the website was older than the version already on the unit!  I suspect there was a problem in the firmware.

 

It went back to the supplier and I got a full refund.

 

Now need to find something similar, but it won't be a Sony as their support was unhelpful.
