Your advice please

Hi,

I have had my Vaio PCV-RX201(CE) for some years now, and am now wanting to replace the hard disk drive with one of larger capacity.

I would be interested to learn if anyone with a similar PC model has done this, and if so what they ended up replacing it with.

I am currently looking for a non-Sony replacement, but am unsure wether this would be compatible?

Any tips, advice etc, would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
Flyingkiwi.

Hi Flyingkiwi and welcome to Club Vaio.

I think you will find that any IDE hard drive will work OK. You need a ATA100 Drive (Parallel ATA and not SATA).

Seagate, Western Digital, Samsung, Hitachi are all respected makes.
