Dear all,
I tried to downgrade my TZ11MN/N (PCG-4L2M) from Vista Business to XP, following the instructions at http://support.vaio.sony.at/os/xp/downgrade/index.asp?site=voe_de_AT_cons, with the drivers from this webpage.
Most of it works, but I have one problem: The machine seems to think that it is connected to an external screen. The display format is not widescreen (i.e. the picture fills the screen vertically, but there are black areas left and right of it) and if I do plug in an external screen, the picture is replicated there. Fn-F7 has no effect (I don't know if the other function keys work, as I never use them). Does anybody have any idea how to fix this?
The BIOS upgrade failed (it just hung and didn't do anything) and during the XP installation (from a CD with XP Business) it complained about one missing file.
I would appreciate any help.
