XL100 HDMI DOES NOT DRIVE HIGH RES WITH PIONEER PLASMA

Does anyone else have problems driving a Pioneer PDP-434 HDE (using the PDP-04 base unit) with an HDMI connection?

It drives about 560+ lines in the default setting but not the full 1024x768 that the screen is capable of.

Has anyone worked out how to fix this? Pioneer seem to think that there is incompatibility in handshake / negotiation of resolutions but WMC only offers 5 alternative resolutions (from about 560 lines all the way up to 1080) but none 768!

Is there a way of overriding this and forcing the very highest resolution?

It seems crazy that the XL-100 should drive at a low resolution and then the Pioneer PDP-04 upscale it to 768 lines!

Kindest resgards and a Fund Size Mars Bar to anyone who can fix this.

I spoke to someone the other day ,he had the same problem with his Pioneer and Sky HD.He was also given the same excuse.Try using a video upscaler such as DVDO iscan HD+,or better.I use one of these for my projector and you can upscale everything you put through it,using one HDMI lead to the display.
