Hi!
I have a few doubts about wireless. I have a FZ18M, using wireless I can choose between 2,4 or 5 Ghz LAN. What do you need to know to choose?
Other question is about Bluetooth. I have read about wireless and Bluetooth shouldn't be activated at the same time, It's true?
I have also a Fujitsu laptop and when I connect my bluetooth I have a icon in the task bar, near the system watch, but now, to access to Bluetooth service but in my Vaio I'm not able to find anything seemly. Somebody can help me?
Thanks a lot!
Hi BeWater,
You can only use the 2.4GHz wireless LAN on your FZ Vaio as it only supports 802.11b/g.
I don't think 802.11a (802.11 at 5 GHz) is licensed in Europe and Japan.
Plenty of people have Bluetooth turned on at the same time as WiFi and don't seem to have problems.
Do you not have a Bluetooth indicator light and a WLAN light on the front of your Vaio (to the left of the wireless switch)? These illuminate when the function is enabled.
Also the small square in the taskbar for the Wireless Device Switch is: -
1. Green with "LAN" for WLAN on.
2. Blue with "B" on for Bluetooth on.
3. Half Green and half blue for both.
Hi Blencogo,
I had reinstalled Vista and the blue bluetooth icon had disappear. I Just only need to install c:\drivers\bluetooth drivers and now the icon has return on the taskbar.
Thanks for your response! ^_^
