wireless adapter in VAIO VGN-SZ4XN/C

How can I turn off the wireless adaptor in my VAIO VGN-sZ4XN/C ? I need to turn it off before I can install a Dlink router. AN no, it is not enough to us the little knob on the computer.

Turning Off the Wireless Switch (10) will turn off the WiFi Adapter.

This should be enough to completely disconnect the Wireless Adapter but if you want to turn off the software switch as well then double-click on the Wireless Switch Utility icon in the Taskbar and when the Wireless Device Switch window opens, de-select the WiFi options.  The icon looks like this: -
