Can anyone tell me if is possible to install window vista on a GRT 996 model?

Hi scog6,

You will be unable to run Vista in full Aero mode due to graphics card memory (you have only 64 MB) but you may possibly be able to run the basic OS.

That said you will undoubtedly have driver and utility problems as, as far as I am aware, the GRT series has no Vista support at present.

My advice is to stick with an OS that works and give a wide berth to Vista unless the system has been designed for it.

Wouldn't bother, the ends do not justify the means, plus you can do most of the stuff with other software in XP, and you'll have better performance with just XP.
