Why does my screen change when I close the lid?

Everytime I close the lid, my screen changes and I have to go back into the control area and change (increase) the resolution. How can I avoid this? (I am going crazy...)

Hi Sol and welcome to Club Vaio.

This can usually be fixed with either a BIOS Update or a nVidia driver update - it depends on your Vaio Model.

What model do you have?

Meanwhile, try the keyboard Zoom shortcut to see if this puts the resolution back quicker - I think it is [Fn + F10] on most models.
