Okay; I lend my 4 year old Sony VaiO Laptop to my friend's husband's cousin; Christina she is 19.
Literally LESS than 30 minutes had gone by and she rings my mobile phone:
"I turned it on and the screen went blue" She says.
So when I returned; she had put it aside and i went to get it back.... I switched it on and SHE HAS ONLY JUST GONE AND WIPED MY LAPTOP- RESTORED IT TO FACTORY CONDITION AND WHEN I TRIED LOGGING IN IT ASKED ME TO CREATE A NEW USERNAME ETC ETC HELP

Nothing can be done unless you pay for an expensive service to have the files restored or pay for an expensive bit of software and try it yourself. R-Studio is what I use.
Sadly, existing files will almost certainly have been overwritten, so there is nothing you can do - except not lend your laptop to anybody else and always keep a mirror of your hard drive as a backup.
