Webcam not detected on windows7 in VGNCR21S

Hi,

I have VGNCR21S vaio, last week its hard drive crashed it had windows vista on it. Then I replace the old hard drve and put windows 7 on it. Now everything work fine except for the web cam. Every time when I am trying to turn on the cam it just giving an error message webcam not detected. I googled good bit but no luck. Any help or suggestion will be really appriciated.

Hi Naveen and welcome to the Sony Users Community.

Have you reinstalled the original Vista Ricoh webcam Driver Ver 6.2095?  This should work for all versions of Windows.

You will find the driver in the 'Preinstalled Drivers download here: -

http://www.sony.co.uk/support/en/product/VGN-CR21S_W/updates

Download the .ZIP file and 'Extract All'.

If you have a 64-bit system, install by running DPInst64.exe.

If you have a 32-bit system, install by running DPInst32.exe

Thanks a lot for your advice. After downloading the preistalled drivers and then running  DPInst32.exe file, webcam run perfectly fine. I am sorted now

Mi pc portatil sony no detecta la web cam. por ningun lado es como que no existiera, que puedo hacer.
