Vista and 5.1 sound

Hi,

Is anyone else having problems getting Vista to drive the rear speakers in a 5.1 setup? I have done some research and it looks like this can be fixed by enabling speaker fill on the enhancements tab of the speaker properties. However on my XL301 I am missing that tab.

Anyone got around this issue?

Hey Typod, did you have any success in resolving your 5.1 issues?

I've got a new XL302 unit and the Sigmatel card is configured for DTS and Dolby 5.1, but the supplied WINDVD BD for VAIO is only pushing out 2 channel sound, with options ot select HDMI, 5.1, 6.1 etc all greyed out.

I've got a ticket open with Vaio support, but from looking at other similar posts, I'm not very optimistic of getting a fix.
