All latest laptops being of the x64 architecture I find it a bit of a shame that the laptop manufacturers hardly have any support (with Sony none!) for 64-bit operating systems. Now I've recently got myself a new SZ with 4GB's of RAM and would like to use that fully, and run Vista 64-bit on it.
I was wondering whether anbody has had any luck in getting Vista 64-bit to work on an SZ, and if they did it, how (driver locations, registry fixes, etc.)
Here my SZ is busy getting 64-bit installed as I'm writing so I'll post about the progress on things a bit later.
Problem #1 (pre-installation): the BIOS only shows 3GB RAM (I opened up the RAM slots though and did find 2x 2GB RAM sticks)
