Virus/spyware

Hi Folks. I have picked up a virus named Trojan/vertum-gen. Has anybody had the thing and got rid ? I'm using sophos anti virus fully up to date, and it detects it ok, and says that its deleted/cleaned up etc, but on the next scan the virus is still there. any 'silver bullets?' any help greatly appreciated. Where is the virus?
Also have you scanned with another antivirus to make sure it isn't a false positive?

Try AVG Free or a trial eg nod32. Sophos isn't high on my list of anti virus, but maybe others would disagree.
