Hi mopster and welcome to Club Vaio.

Sorry but it is all automatic these days. Vista makes the decisions for you and looks at the whole system's requirements and allocates Video Memory from VRAM and RAM. This comes from the false hope that 'Vista always knows best'.

It is meant to stop a high percentage of System crashes.

As your Vaio has 2048MB of RAM, your Graphics should get enough VRAM.

ok. thx. so if want to play in newerwinter nights 2 and its saing needs minimum 128mb of video memory I cant, right?
