Vaio Model VPCCB3C5E

When playing a video the computer seems to be locked in full screen mode and I am unable to access the controls which are not visible on screen.  At the end of a movie the computer has to be re-started to return to normal use.  How do I get the display back to normal ?

Hi TheFatOne,

Which application are you using to play the DVD?

It isn't a DVD, its any downloaded video and even the demo video that came with the computer.  I am using Media Player Classic

I’m not familiar with Media Player Classic but have you explored the settings under View > Options for a setting such as Exit full screen mode at end of playback?

Otherwise try Windows Media Player, Windows Media Center or VLC Media Player.

Do you encounter this problem in all the movies you play? The problem might be coming from the movie you are trying to play.
