Hi Sony-fans
I have recently bought a Duo 13. I am on Windows 8.1, Model SVD13 22C5E.
My problem is that I am experiencing rapid battery loss when I put my computer into sleep mode. I notice that my Vaio Duo 13 has no ability to put the computer into 'hibernate' or to disable 'Connected Standby'.
I have tried various thinsgs:
Command Prompt (Admin)
powercfg -h on and powercfg /h on
in the command prompt (admin), but this hasn't had any affect.
In Power Settings
I have no option to include hibernate. I have tried "Change settings that are currently unavailable".
Registry Edit
I have also gone into my registry, and I do indeed have a file 'HibernationEnabled' with a value of 1 in Hkey>Local Machine>System>Current Control Set>Control>Power
The amount of battery loss is quite substantial - I put my laptop to sleep last night with about 30-40%, and this morning (approx 8 hours later), my battery was dead flat. I really do not care about connected standby.
Is there a solution available which can either (1) enable me to turn on hibernate, or (2) disable connected standby during sleep.
Thank you for anyone that can help.
Ali
I have had the same problem for over a year...is there no solution to this?
