Vaio A215Z Screen Hinge Problem

Hi,

My 6 month old A215Z has developed a loose screen hinge. When the screen is in the normal position, it has about 1 inch of play back and forth before it engange the spring/any reisitance is felt.

Any idear how to fix it, dont really want to send if off for repair as it does not affect anything really.

I would get it done if you can, there have been a lot of people with flickering screens dues to loose wires in the hinges and I can only think that this would be where you might be headed.

It cost me £420 for 5 years cover, so I may aswell use it:smileyhappy: VAIO-Link want to collect it but I aint losing my VAIO again until after my exams. I'm hoping its beyond repair, so I get a replacement product, and they'll have to give me an FS2115S, although I may pay a bit more for the A417S with that sexy docking station:smileygrin: :smileygrin: :smileygrin:
