Upgrade

Hi,

I have just got myself a new Sony VAIO VPCEB1E0E and after a week I feel very satisfied. However I have one question. I am considering upgrading it to add more memory and also install a bigger hard drive.

How can I do this without affecting the warrantee - as I understand that if I do this myself the warrantee would not be valide.

Thanks
Fred

Hi Fred and welcome to Club Vaio.

Changing the memory should be OK as Sony give you instructions on how to do this in your User Guide, Pages 98 to 103 here: -

Sony may consider a hard drive replacement to invalidate the warranty. I would wait a year before upsizing the drive but the decision is yours.
