Hi all,
Any had also had this problem.....
When I pick up my Sony Vaio TX2 using my left hand and picking it up by the front left corner (i.e. placing my thumb on the Sony logo) my laptop freezes.
I'm forced to power down and re-boot which then seems to take for ever.
I can't go on working with a laptop that can't be carried around.
FYI...the base of the TX seems really flimsy and I'm sure when I pick it up I end up pressing down on something. I'm not grabbing it hard ...honest!
I like the TX two but it does seen a very flimsy build and the process is not that fast. Of course battery life is ACE and the screen is cool.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Swiftbrook and welcome to Club Vaio.
Sounds serious if a connection is being broken (or made) by flexing the Vaio.
Motherboard problem? I hope you are still in Warranty!!
I would contact Vaio-Link asap.
Hello,
As someone who repairs laptops for a living... This is a known fault with the motherboard or components attaching to it.
Firstly, it could be a short with the board and/or components if over-time (and it does happen), the screws have gotten loose and things are moving.
Its just like when aloose motherboard in a PC touches the base.
As mentioned earlier,it is costly and I hope you are covered under warranty.
Hi all,
Thanks for this...still under warranty plus I also purchased the 3 year warranty...
Thanks,
M.
I thought it wasn't advisable to move a laptop when in operation anyway?
if you're lucky, could it be something as simple as a poor battery connector, causing a power glitch? Try removing the battery and cleaning the contacts with a soft clean cloth (not one that has polish in it), to make sure they're really clean!
