My FE41S start up is around 2 minutes, to me that seems slow, when waiting for it it seems even longer.
Ive tried everything in this thread:

but it doesnt seem to improve it, tried allsorts and its still slow.
Only option i can think of is to get a vista disk and reinstall fresh, without the Sony crap thats installed on it, but i only need the disk as got serial key.
So does anyone have any other suggestions?
Other laptops i know of, not all sony, take between 30secs and a minute
