screen flicker & blackout

Here's an intersting one.
when running win xp I get the odd screen flicker and black out.
When in win xp safe mode and during boot up this happens a lot.
When trying to run PClinuxOS from live CD happens almost every 10secs
Have moved to all new Nvidia drivers problem still persists
Sony Vaio RZ221, with GeForce Ti4600
Anyone any ideas?

Anyone know what replacement cards (GeForce xyz) would be ok for an RZ221 ??
