Hello,
i've upgrated my pc to Vista Home Premium with Sony's drivers and new bios and all works fine except the keyboard that doesn't match appropriate letters, simbols and numbers. For example: when i hit 'm' on tv appear 0. With XP MCE works all fine. I can't be able to solve this problem can someone helps me, please?
For other models of pc i've read that it's a bios problem but i've upgrated it yet to vers. 4003.003.
Thank you very much
Max
Hi Max,
Have you set your keyboard to the correct language.?
Click Start, then click Control Panel.
In Control Panel click on Clock, Language, and Region, then click on Regional & Language Options.
Select the Keyboard & Languages Tab, click Change Keyboard.
Click Add and select your required keyboard language from the list.
Note to check the chosen language matches your keyboard, click the preview button before making the changes..
As well as checking the keyboard language, check that you do not have the NumLock turned on.
Press the key "NumLk" to turn off the additional number keyboard.
If as a default, the NimLk always comes on at bootup, you can change this in the Registry. Create a Restore Point in System Restore (just in case) and try the following: -
To set the default NumLock key state:
Run REGEDIT and navigate to:
HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Keyboard
Double-Click on:
InitialKeyboardIndicators
Change Value to 0
Value: 0 = NumLock is turned off after logon, 2 = NumLock is turned on after logon
Restart the computer for the changes to take effect
Well spotted Blencogo, I thought it was a letter O if it's a 0 (zero) then Blencogo is spot on.. [:">]
