Hi all,
I have a Sony AR31M notebook which initially came with Vista Home Premium
For reasons to many to note, I can't use Vista, but need XP (Pro)
In my other thread I thought I had everything working, but still having issues with the TVtuner card.
Does anybody know which drivers I should use (tried the ones for the AR31M and AR21M), or if it is at all possible.... I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the several drivers a few times, and then try to use the card in Movie Maker, but it seems to fail.
Or is there some reason that this card (and drivers) might only work with XP MCE ?
Yours sincerely,
Jules
Hi Jules,
The TV Card cannot work with Windows XP. It needs TV software to work and you have removed this with Windows Media Centre.
Two options: -
1. Load Windows XP Media Centre Edition 2005.
2. If you must have XP Pro to connect to a domain you are going to need additional software. The best place to go is the AverMedia website. I believe they do produce a stand alone TV program - I think it is called AverMedia 6.
