PCG K215Z screen

My LCD screen is great for watching DVDs, but after a day of work I have sore eyes, even setting the levels at minimum. I also notice a sort of rather big light spot in the bottom of the screen, specially in desktop mode. Are there solutions ?
Do you recommend special laptop filters ?

Minimum? Surely setting the brightness to maximum would help more. Make sure the room is well lit too.

There shouldn't be a light spot, you might have to get that checked out with Vaio-Link Support.
