No sound from internal speakers -Vaio TX3

I've got a Sony Vaio VGN-TX3HP. I plugged a USB headset in and now the internal speakers don't work. I did a complete restore from the recovery partition but I still cannot get any sound out of the speakers. I can get sound from the headphone socket OK, but the internal speakers don't work. Can anyone help?

As you have recovered to factory defaults this would appear to be a hardware problem. I suggest that you open a case with Vaio-Link
