new hard drive

hi there. my question is, i need to replace the hard drive in my FE31Z. It has a current capacity of 200gb. I want to upgrade to a 500gb with higher rpm. I purchased the original restore disks from sony... will these disks work on the new hard drive or will they detect that the drive is different etc etc.

Hi,

The recovery discs should reinstall OK onto a new Hard Drive.

That is what the Recovery Discs are designed for.
