Microsoft Office 2007

I have just bought a Vaio VGN-NR10es with preloaded Microsoft Offfice 2007, which expires soon. I am happy with my existing Microsoft Office 2000 but cannot load it. Can anyone advise how? Or are there advantages to accepting the expense of changing to 2007? I only use Office to write letters and the occassional spreadsheet.

firstly check that Office 2000 is compatible with Vista.
Next I think you have to install the most recent versions last so you can't install 2000 after 2007 so wont be able to install 2000 until you remove the 2007 trial.
Check with uncle google about compatibility 1st though

Try www.openoffice.org and download a free ms compatible suite that will run in vista.
You can save .doc files

And it won't cost you a penny/cent
