Microphone problems on VGN-N21M

Hi i have the above notebook, however no microphone driver shows up in audio section. Is there a microphone pre installed in these notebooks? If so i take it i need to get the driver and re-install.

Hi Markco79 and welcome to Club Vaio.

According to the specifications for the VGN-N21M/W , you do have a built in microphone. This will use the Realtek High Definition Audio Driver. This is probably installed OK - but to reinstall just run the Setup.EXE in: -

C:\Drivers\Audio\Setup.exe

Check in Control Panel -> Audio Properties that the Recording Microphone is set to Realtec and that the Volume is not muted.
