Dear all.
finally I have bought a digital camera from sony, which uses a memory stick PRO.
Also I use my Vaio sony notebook: FRG-FR415M which has a magicgate for this memory stick.
When I put the stick in the gate, nothing happens.
In the beginning of using my notebook, something went wrong, and the software was re-installed.
Probably I lost some drivers in that process.
on ftp://ftp.vaio-link.com/ I can find drivers for memorystick but which one do I need.
Extra problem: my keyboard is installed as IBM and not as sony. This is slightly difficult because @ and " are switched etc.
Which driver do I need to correct this.
with kind regards.

Not sure about the keyboard, but the Memory Stick driver will be in your C:\Drivers folder on your computer. If it is not, then you can download the Original Drivers Package from http://www.vaio-link.com which contains the Memory Stick driver.
Just as an aside, Magicgate is actually a copyprotection scheme for the memory sticks. The slot on your computer is just known as a Memory Stick slot, not a gate.
LOL, that is surprisingly. I have PCG-FR315S and I have no problems to using a MemoryStickPro Duo.
That thing with the keyboard seems to be normal. Mines is a Microsoft Natural Keyboard (PS2).LOL The keyboard type is IBM enhanced. I think the reason for that is the keyboard layout or anything.
I wouldn't worry about that. A lot of your VAIO is not from Sony.:smileytongue:

The original drivers package I did not found it on the viao site.
