Hello!I formatted my HD and switched to Vista Ultimate. All drivers are fine except MSC one.
Looked deep but did not find it.In the drivers downloads section of Sony there was no help.
My model is VGN-AR31S.Any help would be much appreciated!Dan
Hi Dan and welcome to Club Vaio.
The unrecognised MSC is usually the Memory Stick® Flash Media Controller Driver from Texas Instruments. You should find the driver in C:\Drivers\Memory_Stick.
In Device Manager, right-click on the Unknown Mass Storage Device and choose 'Update Driver'. Choose 'No, not this time' -> 'Install from List or Specific Location' -> 'Don't Search, I will choose a driver to install' -> 'Have Disc' and browse to C:\Drivers\Memory_Stick\ - (Find the .INF file)
Is there a place to download this?
Excellent! All problems solved! The only problem I have now is with my mouse and Vista Sleep Mode.I even installed 2 new beta Vista packs but no success.I have Logitech Mouse and Keyboard MX5000 and after Vista Sleep Mode, mouse does not work at all(I use only mouse).I have to restart my laptop in order to make it work again...Anyone?Dan

Belcogo, any help from you regarding my issue?I watched some topics online and there are a lot of complains about Sleep Mode in Vista.....?
Hi DIMSON,
Have you installed the Reliability and Performance Updates for Vista? Are these the packs you have already installed? If so you may have to wait for SP1.

These are designed to cure no end of problems. Very strange that these have not been released as a Critical Update considering how long we have been waiting for them.
I hope they sort your problems!
