In game sound issue - need some help

Hi there,

I got Vaio FE21M and a sound problem. When i play some games (like STALKER now) i hear cracking sounds that shouldn't be there. Is sounds like old vinyl sound.

It's not the first time. From what I've noticed this thing only happens when game blocks "vol buttons" (over the keyboard).

Any clues how to fix that? If necessary i can provide with sound samples.

Have Sony set some Audio Filter software to run in the System Tray?

On my computer it caused lots of problems. You can either add individual programs to its ignore list or quit it altogether. I got so fed up of it I completely disabled it!

thanks for answer, but nothing connected to sound is running in my task bar. i'll do some more research and let you know if i'll find something. till then i'm still open to any suggestions.
