Hi all,
I am pulling my hair out. I have a Sony VAIO Laptop model number VPCEB1M0E running Windows 7. I want to connect my Bluetooth phone plus other Bluetooth external devices to it, but I cant seem to work out how to switch on Bluetooth?
Does this Laptop actually have the Bluetooth function on it?? Does it support Bluetooth? I have found it on the control panel but all the instructions I find on the net of how to switch it on dont work.
I have checked and my Wireless button on the front is switched onto 'On'. I have also gone through the excercise of trying to pair the Laptop with an external device (my Bluetooth phone) but it just doesnt pick anything up.
I understand that you have to turn the Bluetooth VAIO function on in a special way - cant anyone help me please as I'm going mad!!!!
Thanks
Steve

Hi Steve,
Unfortunately there is no mention of Bluetooth in the specifications for this model.

If it was available you should be able to turn the function on via Vaio Smart Network – either by clicking the icon in the system tray or via Vaio Control Center > Network Connections > Vaio Smart Network.

My last Sony laptop did not have bluetooth although there was some software on it that made me think it had. Anyway, I bought a bluetooth dongle for £1 from one of those pound shops and it has worked perfectly. They are very tiny and neat.
That works too. Can be easily inserted on your USB port. Just make sure not to loose it. Happened to me 4 times already.
