HardDisk ATA where one are mounted SATA

I have a VAIO notebook VGN-A617B on which a HD SATA from 80GB is mounted. I would want hour to know, if you acquired a ATA, I could however mount it? if mistake is not a problem of doors, true?

Hi.

You must have a SATA drive.

An ATA drive will have a different interface and will not fit in your Vaio.
