FZ11Z - WindowsXP and WinDVD Blue Ray player

I intend to "downgrade" the OS that came preinstalled with my FZ11Z to XPSP2; while I have no problem with that (e.g. SATA drivers etc.) I have a concern about the preinstalled software that came with the VAIO. While I have made both the Application and the System Back-Up Discs I have tried reinstalling the system via DVDs but haven't found the WinDVD BD player, wehereas if I use the restore (F10 option at boot) partion all works fine. Is there anything I am missing here ? Seriously my only concern is the BlueRay player all the rest (Norton/VAIO update Office2007 trial) is crap and I can do without.

Thank you for your help
Max

Ah Max - I answered your other thread first!!

I think you are going to have to buy something like PowerDVD Ultra. You cannot install WinDVD BD as an individual application - only by a complete Recovery of the original Sony OEM Vista Operating System. Also, this is the Vista Version 8 and I doubt if it will run on XP. I am also unsure if HDMI works with XP.

Ignore what I have said in your other thread about cloning your drive - but the caddy is still a good idea as you can use your old drive as an external USB drive.
