Extracting software from Recovery CDs...

As a proud owner of a VAIO VGN-NR11Z/S I have recently downgraded/upgraded from Vista to XP Pro. The installation went successfully however I was wondering if there was anyway of extracting software from Recovery CDs? I have read previous threads by Akash and although I understand his methods, they don't really apply to my discs as I am unable to locate any .pac files.

If anybody has any useful information/links then I would be eternally grateful!

What file extension are the files on your recovery disc's.?

Recovery DVD 2 contains loads of folders that begin with 'JP_20070319000000000000000000007' etc. These folders contain another folder called '_FS_SWRINFO' with 2 files, 'crc.info' and 'files.info'.

I'm a 100% sure that this DVD contains all of the applications. I just need a method to extract them.

Do you have .MOD and/or .sny files within the folders.?
