Hi Steve,

I have no knowledge of Win 8 but after installing Windows 8 have you tried installing the original NVIDIA graphics driver?

Hi. You can possibly go to Nvidia site and server for the driver with your specific graphics. Just download it and install. You should be all set after that. http://imagicon.info/cat/12-13/vmware_happy.gif

Windows 8 is a new OS and it is pretty much certain that you may encounter minor difficulties dealing with software and programs you already. It is one of the things you should be aware of especially when upgrading to a new OS.
