cant write cd/dvd's but can read them on my fs115b :(

hi there people first post here. i have a problem with my sony vaio fs115b dvd writer. it will not write cds or dvds and i have tried many different brands of disks as i thought this could be a problem. basically i have alot of music on my computer that i want to put in my car and i just cant 😞 this is getting me very upset so i came to you people for help 🙂

if theres any more info you need i will try my hardest to get it!

Unfortunately, you probably have a Sony DW-D56A drive.

This is probably the worst drive in the world and will probably need replacement. However, try installing the Firmware update for Sony DW-D56A suggested by MX Motion in this long thread.
