Battery stateus(Remaining time)

hallo,
I was not sure where to put this problem so i am opening a small new thread.

I wanted to know if there is any prog/addon which can show how long will the battery work till its empty. At the moment my laptop just show the % but i it possible tht it also show some time. As i ve seen i many notbook(ex: ibn, toshiba, hp, ..) tht it show next to the % also the time(ofcourse it also depends on the usage).

hi you can download a program but it might affect your power as it will be looking at everything
with vaio they use a power saver if you right click on the power icon in the toolbar
and go to settings and you can change them to make the power lower or high

What is the name of the software that tells you the remaining battery in time? My previous notebook a Toshiba Tecra model running Windows XP Pro did this, I found it more useful than a percentage.

Hi Ryan,

It is normal for Sony Vaio's to only display the % remaining..

There are applications available, something like battery mate, that can predict the time available, however I don't think it's designed for Vista. I can't say how accurate they would be though as I have never used one..
