Hi,
I've bought my Sony Net MD (MZ-N505) a couple of years ago and it still makes superb recordings from a mixer Line Out or Rec Out. The problem is that copyright protection makes it impossible for files to be transferred to the PC. This has been a pain in the ... from the beginning with OpenMG Jukebox, and with SonicStage 4.3. it's the same all over again. Sorry to say this, but I've had it with Sony software, even though I like Sony products. Megabytes of unneccesary libraries, managers and tools, and it still doesn't work.
A simple Net MD Driver/file manager that works with the Explorer from Vista, would that be to much too ask?
And another question: why is there a recording function if you can't get your files to the computer???
Anyway, if there are others who can't get their recordings on computer, I've found that connecting the Net MD headphone output to a TASCAM US-122L interface with Cubase works good and the quality loss is minimal. If anyone knows a better way, please let me know.
Thanks
(Is VAIO notebooks the ony available TOPIC????)
