on using the  kdl-40r553c tv to sream video from my nas i found there are quite a few video's that are the correct format that the tv should play but don't is this a codec fault if so are there any upcoming updates that can adress this or is it just that they wont play

Hi there

The R5C range only supports a few file formats and codecs via DLNA Streaming.  

If you have a computer, you could install Serviio which supports 'on-the-fly transcoding'
